Coming just one year after the Planes hit theaters in 2013, it is quite clear that Disney was looking for some cash with a sequel Planes: Fire & Rescue this summer. Located in the Cars world, the original film feels like it was meant to be a straight spin-off DVD, and this sequel does not look better although some gorgeous animation. These stories just felt no real substance, and looks like a very good waste of some talented animators. Of course, the kids love this car, and new characters, but these films can also attract adults. Anyway, the new full theatrical trailer has a soft rock song that creates a strange tone.
Planes: Fire & Rescue, the movie sequel to Planes Disney feature, will be directed by Bobs Gannaway. Comedian Dane Cook again voiced cropdusting plane Crophopper Dusty, who learned that the machine was broken and he probably would never race again, he had to shift gears and launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Julie Bowen ("Modern Family") joins the voice role as super scooper spirit Dipper with several other firefighters characters. Disney sends the film to theaters this summer on July 18.
